Redwoods and Salty Air

Packed up for camping and it feels good. We're heading south to SLO for Thursday night, and then back north a bit to Big Sur for Friday.
Scott and
Laura are driving up the coast to Washington, and we're joining them for a few nights under the
big trees and
out on a bluff overlooking the Pacific.
There is something truly special about this California coastal land. The quality of light as the sun sets into the Pacific is utterly unique. It has a golden burnished glow that I have not seen anywhere else.
It will be nice to camp in the Northeastern woods of America once we move back, but I'll never forget what it's like to wake up with the ocean at my feet, and the redwoods towering above.
