Tonight's post is easy because I read the NYTimes thoroughly today.

RIP to Alex, an amazing Gray parrot. This animal transformed the way scientists think about the brains of birds. The 2nd to last paragraph of this article is the real heartbreaker.

Then check out an article about the future of computer memory. Sounds dry, but the guy behind this new development is the person that created the memory foundation for the 160gig iPod and tetrabytes of storage in every home. The article says with this new development you could carry in your pocket the contents of a college library. That's shitloads of info!

And the last bit out of the NYTimes that really struck me was just a tiny blurb about one of the rovers on Mars. It was supposed to last a few months, but now years later this thing is still rocking. Not even a 2 month, planet encompassing dust-storm could stop Opportunity. And the next step is into the history of our nearest red planet.

It is also the wedding anniversary of my good friends Chris and Andrea, as well as my dad-in-law's bday today, so Happy Birthday and Anniversary to them.

It's also the unhappy anni-v of 9/11, but that's not something I really like to dwell on. One thing I do think it is important to remember, though, is that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, and don't let the liars tell you different.
